Chinese automaker Chery has unveiled a new humanoid robot named Mornine, developed by its robotics arm AiMOGA Robotics, to act as an intelligent customer assistant in showrooms and promotional events.
The robot made its debut at the 2025 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China, where it performed live demonstrations that included greeting guests, giving product introductions, and explaining vehicle functions.
Chery says the robot integrates AI large-model technology with gesture recognition and multimodal interaction, enabling lifelike conversations in multiple languages.
AiMOGA Robotics describes Mornine as a service-oriented humanoid designed to enhance human-machine communication in retail environments.
The company says it aims to “create service-oriented humanoid robots that can work alongside people in daily customer-facing scenarios”.
Mornine’s demonstrations included speech interaction, on-site navigation, and expression control features, showcasing smooth motion and facial dynamics.
AiMOGA says future versions will expand to international markets, supporting Chery’s global automotive retail operations.
The initiative reflects Chery’s broader strategy to embed artificial intelligence across its automotive ecosystem – not only in vehicle automation, but also in intelligent customer engagement.
Chery emphasized that Mornine is a customer service robot intended for safe, indoor use in public and commercial spaces.
