IMI to showcase suite of automation solutions at automatica

June 24, 2025 by Sam Francis

IMI’s Industrial Automation business will be exhibiting at Automatica, the leading trade event for smart automation and robotics in Munich from 24th to 27th June.

The company will be showcasing a variety of innovative solutions to help overcome machine design challenges, including live production line demonstrations of a Hybrid Automated Assembly System with cobots to highlight the real-world benefits of IMI’s Industrial Automation products.

The demo will share how to achieve optimised intelligent collaboration between humans and machines, gain operational benefits from real-time data communication via IO-Link, and enable visitors to view a solution that is ergonomic, efficient, and future-proofed.

To facilitate the demonstrations – which will occur hourly through the exhibition – the company is transferring one of its own automated assembly lines directly from a factory into the Messe hall so visitors can experience a live solution in action.

Stand visitors can also explore the latest IMI Norgren and IMI Bahr technologies, featuring high-quality, reliable electric and pneumatic motion control solutions.

Including:

  • Hybrid Production System with zero set up time. A solution that sets out the future of assembly. It is designed for maximum flexibility, precision, and efficiency and is tailored to batch size 1 production needs.
  • IMI Norgren Pneumatics & Proportional Technology with high-precision valve islands and pressure regulators, IO-Link-enabled components for smart communication and seamless integration and reliable control for dynamic assembly processes.
  • IMI Bahr High-End Linear Motion Technology with modular axis systems for cobots and automation solutions, precise positioning for assembly and inspection processes and integration capability with hybrid human-machine systems.
  • New IMI Bahr linear axis solution for heavy duty applications.

Automatica will also see IMI Bahr launch a new electric motion linear series – USZ – to complement the company’s existing product portfolio in the field of heavy-duty applications.

Delivering toothbelt driven linear axis support with a rectangular aluminium profile, the range guarantees robustness, precision, and efficiency.

USZ customised solutions are ideal for assembly processes and precise movements for production lines, or the efficient movement of heavy or large goods for logistics and materials handling requirements.

Attendees can also examine the benefits of customised technical solutions for customer applications, as well as find out about IMI’s dedicated Customer Service and fast delivery support for projects.

Cihan Halavurt, general management at IMI, said: “Our participation at Automatica reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering tailored industrial automation solutions that address the range of challenges our clients face.

“We invite visitors to our stand to connect with our experts, experience innovative solutions firsthand through live demonstrations, learn about new products we are bringing to market and explore how we can support their goals for smarter automation operations.”
