Hobot Technology unveils new window-cleaning robot

Hobot Technology has officially launched its new window-cleaning robot, the Hobot-2S. The US launch date is scheduled for October 1, 2021.

GUSS Automation marks sale of 100th autonomous orchard sprayer

Autonomous agriculture equipment is gaining momentum and GUSS Automation says the company has hit its stride.

In just a year and a half, the company has delivered their 100th autonomous orchard sprayer and now have GUSS machines spraying throughout the United States and in Australia.

RC Mowers exceeds sales projections for its robotic mowers

RC Mowers, makers of remote-operated robotic mowers, believes there is nothing like seeing its mowers in-person and in-action to convince prospects they need one.

The sales team has been traveling on an extensive “Great American Road Show” all over the US to meet commercial landscapers, public works departments, city, county, state and federal park systems, and city, county and state road departments.

The response and related sales of RC Mowers remote-operated robotic mowers, which are for mowing steep slopes, difficult terrain and other hazardous landscapes, has been “tremendous”, says the company. Cleveland Clinic develops bionic arm that restores ‘natural behaviors’

Cleveland Clinic researchers have engineered a “first-of-its-kind bionic arm” for patients with upper-limb amputations that allows wearers to think, behave and function like a person without an amputation, according to new findings published in Science Robotics.

The Cleveland Clinic-led international research team developed the bionic system that combines three important functions – intuitive motor control, touch and grip kinesthesia, the intuitive feeling of opening and closing the hand.

Hardinge acquires Ohio Tool Works

Hardinge and Ohio Tool Works have completed a definitive agreement under which Hardinge has acquired OTW.

Hardinge says the deal enhances its machine tool and workholding portfolio with “an attractive platform of high precision honing machines, tooling and abrasives”.

Unikie and Valmet implement automated parking solution at factory

Finnish technology company Unikie and the automotive service provider Valmet Automotive are testing and validating an automated parking solution at a factory.

The two companies say the “Automated Factory Parking” technology, developed by Unikie, is being assessed in a “business-critical factory environment”, and is an important step in taking the new technology to the production stage.
