Nvidia redesigns Jetson Developer Days as online event – GTC Digital

Nvidia has redesigned its Jetson Developer Days as an online event called GTC Digital – GTC standing for GPU Technology Conference.

Starting on Wednesday, March 25, GTC Digital will host live webinars, sessions, trainings from the Nvidia Deep Learning Institute, and opportunities to connect with the experts.

Epson Robots selects Air Automation Engineering as authorized service center

Epson Robots has selected Air Automation Engineering as one of its authorized service centers.

Epson says the decision is part of an initiative to increase technical support in the Midwest US. Epson Robots claims to be the number-one SCARA robot manufacturer in the world.

Parrot and Survae partner to develop drone imagery with interactive mapping

Parrot, a drone manufacturer, and Survae, a software platform for managing aerial and ground-based imagery, have agreed a partnership through Parrot’s SDK program to combine Parrot’s ANAFI and ANAFI Thermal hardware and Survae’s software for professional drone use.

Parrot’s ANAFI and ANAFI Thermal drones offer an ultra-compact tool for professionals, helping them gain new vantage points to make informed decisions using the drone’s aerial insights.

In addition to its built-in 4K HDR camera, ANAFI Thermal also integrates a FLIR thermal sensor – allowing working professionals to easily capture thermal and visual readings for faster response times, along with higher precision and efficiency. UBTech Robotics, an artificial intelligence and robotics company specializing in the services and education sectors, has been selected by Fast Company into its latest list of most innovative companies worldwide.

The Shenzhen-based company has been included in the robotics category for advancing the art of humanoid service for various business environments.

The enterprise-grade, cloud-connected Cruzr robot has been used in retail stores, airports, banks, and other environments. With wheels and arms, the gleaming white bot is already performing tasks such as providing directions and discounts to shoppers at EasyHome, China’s largest home-innovation chain. ‘Robots are revolutionizing the visual arts’, says RoboDK boss

“Robots are revolutionizing the visual arts by providing artists with new creative techniques,” says Albert Nubiola, CEO of robot simulation and programming software firm RoboDK.

Nubiola makes his comments as an exhibition of robot-made paintings opens in the prestigious Ben Brown Fine Arts gallery, London.

Conceived by digital arts pioneers Rob and Nick Carter, the ingenious “Dark Factory Portraits” exhibition features an industrial robot arm from Kuka – dubbed “Heidi”, by the artists – that produces fine art portraits of famous artists in acrylics. DHL to install 1,000 new warehouse robots from Locus Robotics

DHL Supply Chain is installing 1,000 warehouse robots from Locus Robotics. The world’s largest logistics company will integrate the Locus robots at 10 of its US facilities in 2020.

DHL and Locus Robotics have an ongoing working relationship, but the new initiative significantly expands this partnership.

Pallet Alliance expands IoT-enabled wooden pallet tracking capability

Pallet Alliance, a developer of pallet management programs for multi-site manufacturing companies, has added the LoRa devices and the LoRaWAN connectivity protocol to its internet of things-enabled IntelliPallet platform.

Pallet Aliiance describes the protocol as “efficient, flexible, and economical”, and says its IntelliPallet platform is the industry’s first supply chain managed service to be integrated into wooden pallets.

The new capability is the result of Pallet Alliance’s collaboration with Semtech, a supplier of high performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors and advanced algorithms, and Viaanix, an IoT integration firm.
