Scallog installs 60 robots and eight picking stations for Decathlon warehouses in Germany

Scallog, short for “scalable logistics”, has completed two installations in Germany for its client Decathlon, one of the world’s largest retailers of sports goods.

The installation includes a site with a fleet of 60 robots and eight preparation or picking stations on the Mannheim site.

The Scallog solution allows the preparation of e-commerce orders for sports products of the brand as well as the management of returns.

The shelves multi-references are moved by Scallog’s “Boby” robot from one station to the other for the management of parallel shelves filled to replenish the stock and picking products to prepare orders.

Scallog started marketing its solution in Germany last year by participating in the internationally renowned LogiMAT and CeMAT 2018 trade fairs in Germany and continuing its international expansion.

Scallog says its robot Boby has found “great success”, which “confirms the need to automate the logistics warehouses in Europe”.
