Investcorp has acquired the Ubisense SmartSpace business as well as the Ubisense brand for an undisclosed amount.
Arma Partners acted as the exclusive financial adviser in the deal and says Ubisense is “a leader in the industrial internet of things” space.
SmartSpace is an enterprise software and sensor platform that generates and interprets vast amounts of location data to create visibility of real-world objects and their interactions in real-time, enabling complex manufacturing processes with high levels of variability to be more flexible, easier to manage and easier to control.
Arma says SmartSpace delivers a “compelling value proposition for blue-chip customers” across a number of verticals, including aerospace, commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, general industry, and transportation.
With their expertise in working with fast-growing and data-driven businesses, Investcorp will support the company’s growth and expansion plans by investing in innovation and building on the attractive product offering and leading technology developed by the company.
Arma says this transaction highlights its “deep expertise in the industrial technology sector and track record of successfully navigating public company carve-out transactions”.
