Tata Technologies to acquire ES-Tec Group for €75 million

Tata Technologies, a product engineering and digital services company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100 percent equity shares of ES-Tec GmbH and its subsidiaries (collectively, ES-Tec Group) for a total cash consideration of €75 million.

The consideration will be paid over the next two years and includes performance-based earn-outs linked to strategic milestones. The transaction is expected to be EPS accretive from the first full year of operations itself.

Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany, ES-Tec Group is a premium automotive engineering services provider with deep domain expertise in Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Comfort Electronics, and E-Mobility. A software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform is a comprehensive software and hardware architecture that allows vehicles to be upgraded and customized through software updates, rather than relying solely on hardware changes.

Volvo and Daimler Truck launch joint venture to develop software-defined vehicles

Volvo Group and Daimler Truck, two of the leaders in the commercial vehicle industry, announce the launch of Coretura AB, their joint venture aimed at “transforming the commercial vehicle industry through a new software-defined vehicle platform and establishing a new industry standard”.

Coretura will enable Volvo Group and Daimler Truck and other future customers to provide differentiating stand-alone digital vehicle applications for their products.

Following the binding joint venture agreements signed on October 28, 2024, Volvo Group and Daimler Truck have obtained all required regulatory approvals and have now launched the new company Coretura.
