Massachusetts awards $1.85 million to three advanced manufacturing startups

The Healey-Driscoll Administration and the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech), has announced $1,849,643 in awards to three Massachusetts manufacturing companies through the Massachusetts Manufacturing Innovation Initiative (M2I2), program that provides capital grant funding for Massachusetts manufacturers to expand production, build local jobs and strengthen key innovation sectors.

Cell Impact and thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering have entered a Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Joint Market Success in the Field of Hydrogen.

The agreement includes a shared ambition to carry out joint marketing activities as well as technical development of flow plates and manufacturing processes for fuel cells and electrolyzers.

The cooperation between Cell Impact and thyssenkrupp Automotion Engineering is based upon Cell Impact Forming – a patented dry forming method using high kinetic energy to shape complex patterns in ultra-thin metal.
