1. Include alternative texts

Most business websites will have images in one form because they catch users’ eyes and engage them. However, they won’t fulfill their intended purpose for those who are either blind or have low vision. Therefore, you must consider adding some descriptive information so that consumers can better comprehend the pictures on the Web page through screen readers.

Alt text can also be helpful when images fail to load. Additionally, the information of your images can also improve your search rankings, making your website easier to find on the search engines.

2. Make your video content accessible

Apart from images, another visual element that can attract and engage users are videos. However, those who are hard of hearing won’t understand and fully appreciate the material.

As such, it makes sense to make your video content more accessible. And you can do this with the use of effective CART captions and real-time transcription. It may not sound like a lot, but it can go a long way in arresting users’ attention.

3. Use headers to structure the content

There’s a reason why many Web pages make use of headers. After all, they can structure and organize online material properly. In addition, the use of headings can also aid text-to-speed software and read the content much more effectively than it otherwise would have. In turn, you’ll keep your bounce rate at a minimum and attract more inbound Web traffic.

Have features in Web accessibility available on the site

Last but not least, you’ll want to include Web accessibility features like screen readers and size adjusters for those with visual impairments. You’ll also want to have programs that give users a hands-free option so that those with disabilities in mobility can navigate around the Web pages easily.

4. Maximize profit

The Internet has made many tasks and processes convenient, be it researching brands or making purchases online. And if you want to maximize the profit potential of your enterprise, you need to make sure that your digital assets are fully accessible. In this way, you’ll be able to reel in more customers and elevate your sales significantly.
