Hanwha demonstrates CNC machine tending using collaborative robot

Hanwha Robotics has demonstrated a CNC machine tending solution using its HCR-5 collaborative robot.

The company says the demand for collaborative robot solutions is increasing because such solutions enable the operator to reduce waiting times during the process.

These solutions also relieve workers from ergonomically unfavorable and hazardous jobs.

Hanwha says collaborative robots are “perfect solutions” to robotize the manufacturing process with simple systems because of their safety functions and easy application.

The company says its HCR-5 showed mobility enhanced application and space saving benefits, and is one robot that can be applied to handle multiple CNC machines.

Hanwha first unveiled the new HCR-5 collaborative robot-based CNC machine tending solution at the recent EMO metalworking trade show.
