Comau supports ‘Made’ Industry 4.0 centre in Italy

The “MADE” Competence Centre, spearheaded by the Polytechnic of Milan, has been launched in Italy.

Comau – a member of the FCA Group and leader in the field of industrial automation – is a partner company, with a place on the MADE Board of Directors.

MADE is a public-private partnership formed by 39 partners from the business and academic world.

It aims to provide businesses – in particular SMEs – with three services: orientation, training and support for the implementation of innovation projects for Industry 4.0.

MADE is one of the highly specialised innovation centres organised within the National Industry 4.0 Plan, promoted and co-funded by the MISE (the Italian Ministry of Economic Development).

Mauro Fenzi, CEO of Comau, said: “By making its expertise, technologies and advanced processes for Industry 4.0 available, Comau aims to support companies in the acquisition of production processes and tools enabling the Smart Factory in an increasingly incisive manner.”

Comau supports the Milan Competence Centre, providing products, including: the MATE exoskeleton, traditional industrial robots and collaborative robots (such as AURA), the autonomous driving vehicle Agile1500, and the e.DO educational robot.

The technologies are accompanied by the know-how of Comau experts for guidance, training and operational support services to companies.
