Planview acquires LeanKit to strengthen product lifecycle management product for engineers
Enterprise software and work and resource management company Planview has acquired LeanKit.
Planview says the acquisition further expands its mission to “support all of the ways that organizations and their employees do work”.
Planview says Leankit is a “leader in enterprise Kanban for engineers”, and its capabilities are the “perfect addition” to Planview’s solutions portfolio.
Planview says the purchase marks its first expansive, strategic acquisition since the company’s acquisition by private equity firm Thoma Bravo in January 2017.
LeanKit’s workflow and collaboration capabilities support engineers in app development, DevOps and IT operations to utilize lean principles.
Planview says more and more companies are looking to leverage lean and agile to increase their ability to innovate.
The company adds that the addition of this capability allows Planview to “serve engineers and technical professionals at the heart of the digital transformation movement that is disrupting many industries, bringing business product lifecycle management to life”.
