Wind River, a provider of software for intelligent systems, says industrial robot-maker Yaskawa is using Wind River Linux for its next-generation Motoman Next series of robots.

Yaskawa is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of servo motor, AC drives, and industrial robots.

Motoman Next is capable of autonomous adaptivity to the environment and can make judgments with advanced AI capabilities. Yaskawa’s new robot is powered by Nvidia Jetson Orin and Wind River Linux to realize new levels of intelligence and autonomy. Riverfield selects VxWorks from Wind River to develop ‘groundbreaking’ surgical robot system

Wind River, a developer of software for intelligent systems, says Riverfield is using VxWorks to develop the Saroa Surgical System, a surgical assist robot.

Astranis Space Technologies selects Wind River real-time operating system for new satellite

Wind River, a provider of software for critical infrastructure, says satellite startup Astranis Space Technologies is using VxWorks real-time operating system for its next-generation satellite that will deliver cost-effective high-speed internet to underserved markets.

Over half of the world doesn’t have access to the internet – and satellites are expected to play a major role in solving that problem.
