Kyocera to participate in self-driving bus test in Japan involving several other companies

Kyocera will participate in a self-driving bus test project organized by the Mobility Innovation Consortium, an organization to promote autonomous driving led by East Japan Railway Company.

Other corporations participating in the test project will include Advanced Smart Mobility Company, Aichi Steel Corporation, SoftBank, Nippon Signal Company, and NEC Corporation.

Project tests, which will occur between December 2018 and March 2019, are designated to evaluate self-driving technologies for bus transit applications, including automated lane-maintenance control, speed control, parking assist, and alternating passage tests on JR East’s Bus Rapid Transit lines.  [Read more…] about Kyocera to participate in self-driving bus test in Japan involving several other companies

Kyocera to build new manufacturing plant in Kanagawa, Japan for conductive and insulation pastes

Kyocera says it has started construction of a new manufacturing facility on the premises of its Kawasaki manufacturing complex in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

The new facility will allow Kyocera to increase its production capacity by 50 percent for conductive and insulation pastes utilized in applications ranging from semiconductors and digital devices to automotive electronics and energy products.

Kyocera licenses haptic feedback technology to Bosch for automotive applications

Kyocera has agreed a licensing arrangement with Bosch in relation to its haptic feedback technology for use in Bosch’s automotive solutions.

Kyocera says it signed the license agreement with Robert Bosch Car Multimedia, a subsidiary of Robert Bosch, which is a leading global supplier of technology and services and one of the largest automotive technology suppliers in the world.

Company says unique platform structure shortens lead times, allowing samples to be shipped as early as next day

Kyocera has introduced a new series of clock oscillators specially designed to support multi size and frequencies for quick-turnaround delivery requirements.

The oscillators are also qualified to Automotive Electronics Council reliability standards.
