Autodesk is showcasing a number of products and recent updates that it says are “powering the convergence of design and manufacturing”.

The company has a huge range of software which are used in architecture and construction, and increasingly in the manufacturing industry.

IMTS 2018 sets new record for most exhibition space, highest number of exhibitors and booths

The International Manufacturing Technology Show, opened this morning to record numbers: 1,424,232 sq. ft. of exhibit space and 2,123 booths representing 2,563 exhibiting companies.

Exhibitors have brought in more than 55 million lbs. of machinery on 4,465 trucks with eight machines weighing more than 100,000 lbs.

Faro launches new automated inspection system

Faro, which specializes in 3D measurement and imaging solutions for factory metrology and 3D machine vision, has launched the Faro OneClick system exclusively to members of the Faro Early Adopter Program.

The early adopter program provides its members access to new innovative, solutions before they become broadly available.

Universal Robots’ cobot applications on show at IMTS

The characteristic light-blue jointed collaborative robot arms from Universal Robots will be spotted hard at work throughout IMTS in Chicago, USA, from 10-15 September, 2018.

The numerous IMTS exhibits are a testament to the wide range of tasks and solutions now automated by UR.

The cobots will handle vision-guided product inspection, ride on top of mobile robots while performing machine tending, automate laser marking, change pallets, conduct 3D scans of booth visitors, and much more.

Mitsubishi to present its ‘single-source manufacturing’ solutions at IMTS

Mitsubishi Electric Automation will present its single source manufacturing solutions at the International Manufacturing Technology Show, being held September 10-15, 2018 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Visitors to booth 134102 will see some of Mitsubishi Electric’s most advanced, integrated factory automation products in action, including industrial internet of things systems, the M8 CNC series control platform, FR series robots, 5-axis machining and a fully automated manufacturing (FAM) cell.

IMTS: World’s largest industrial technology show to highlight automation trends

The world‘s largest industrial technology show will highlight key automation trends with a view to helping visitors understand how they will affect manufacturing and other sectors.

Organisers of the International Manufacturing Technology Show – scheduled to take place in Chicago, in the US, from September 10th to 15th – say the event will bring people and automation closer together – literally – with exhibits highlighting the benefits of collaborative robots, or “cobots”.
