Fanuc to showcase ‘cutting-edge’ robotics and automation solutions at Automate 2025

Fanuc America, a global industrial automation company, will showcase its latest industrial and collaborative robotic innovations at Automate 2025.

The event, held in Detroit from May 12-15, will feature several all-new applications designed to enhance efficiency and unlock increased productivity.

Omron separates robotics business unit in ‘strategic step’

Omron has announced the creation of what it describes as “a dedicated global robotics organisation”, describing it as a “strategic step”.

The company says the restructuring reflects Omron’s “continued commitment to robotics as a core part of its value proposition and an essential pillar of its complete end-to-end automation solutions”.

The new robotics organisation will operate alongside Omron’s automation business, allowing both to complement and reinforce one another.

Taiwan to promote 15 ‘advanced technology brands’ at Automate 2025

Taiwan Excellence, a government-backed industrial trade organization, is planning to introduce 15 leading Taiwanese brands at Automate 2025, the largest automation exhibition in North America, scheduled from May 12-15 at Huntington Place in Detroit.

Taiwan Excellence is an annual award program for innovative Taiwanese products. Incorporating the theme of “Advancing Robotics with Taiwanese Precision”, the Taiwan Excellence exhibit in Hall B, Booth 2646, will showcase the latest product innovations in robots and AloT solutions to provide a competitive edge and to shape the future of robotics technology.

Doosan Robotics to supply 300 collaborative robots across Southeast Asia

Doosan Robotics has signed an agreement with VRNJ, a robotic system integrator in Thailand, for the supply of 300 collaborative robots.

Under the agreement, Doosan Robotics will deliver 300 units from its four collaborative robot series – A, H, M, and P – over the next two years, with an initial order of 60 units already confirmed.

Additionally, both companies have committed to developing tailored automation solutions for manufacturing applications and expanding their presence in key Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Universal Robots showcases deep learning-based part detection for machine tending cobots at IMTS

When Universal Robots (UR) recently surveyed 1,200 manufacturers across North America and Europe about their use of technology and future investment plans, over 50 percent of the respondents indicated they are now using AI and machine learning in their production processes.

Universal Robots app store now has offers than 500 products

Universal Robots, the Danish collaborative robot (cobot) company, has reached a new milestone, says it has now launched over 500 products through its “UR+ ecosystem”, which is like an “app store” for the cobot community built around UR robots, and is also sometimes referred to as a marketplace.

This marks a significant growth in the ecosystem since it started in 2016 with the ambition of making Universal Robots (UR) an open-source-like platform that would empower developers to create groundbreaking solutions.
