Beam unveils new underwater robot for wind farm operations

Beam, a provider of high-technology offshore wind services, has launched a new autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) driven by artificial intelligence (AI).

Scout, a concept expected to enter the market in 2025, will put the power of subsea inspection directly in the hands of wind farm operators.

Brain Corp’s autonomous robot fleet reaches ‘250 billion square feet milestone’

Brain Corp, a developer of software for robots, says its fleet of over 37,000 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), powered by the BrainOS Robotics Platform, has now “autonomously covered more than 250 billion square feet of space globally”.

The vast majority of the robots which use BrainOS are industrial or commercial large floor cleaning machines (see main image), manufactured by other companies, such as Tennant and and SoftBank Robotics.

Brain Corp says the new milestone emphasizes the “global trend towards automation” as industries around the world increasingly move to intelligent robotic solutions to optimize operations and address rising workforce challenges. SteerAI’s driverless car technology chosen to power Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League

SteerAI, an autonomous mobility venture backed by the Abu Dhabi Advanced Technology Research Council’s VentureOne, has partnered with the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL) to provide the powerful autonomy kits to be used in the racing league’s AI-driven Super Formula cars.

A2RL used SteerAI’s kit throughout their testing campaign in Italy alongside Juju Noda, a Japanese Super Formula Driver. This weekend, A2RL will test the kit at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan in a “Man vs Machine” demo featuring former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat on November 10 as part of Suzuka’s season finale.
