DB Schenker, global exhibition logistics provider, and August Robotics, a Hong Kong-based robotics and artificial intelligence company, have announced a partnership to assist exhibition companies and venues to improve their exhibition build-up processes with a new robot.
August Robotics has developed an autonomous robot, called Lionel, that automates the floor marking process in trade show halls, integrating into the existing exhibition build-up workflow.
The robot is claimed to improve accuracy and workers safety, whilst also reducing the time required for this labour intensive process.
DB Schenker is supporting August Robotics with consultancy service and business advice on servicing the exhibition industry. In addition, DB Schenker will provide global logistics services as well as on-site operational support to the August Robotics team.
Matthias Dornscheidt, Vice President Global Fairs & Exhibitions, said: “We believe August Robotics’ floor marking robot has the ability to create significant value for organisers and venues around the world.”
