SMEs are increasingly recognising the benefits of industrial robots, where user-friendliness and cost are key factors in their selection.

As major automobile manufacturers have long embraced extensive robotics, these robots regularly enter the second-hand machinery market. Purchasing used robots is a cost-efficient solution not only for SMEs.

SME introduces ‘Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals’ certificate

SME, a nationally recognized certifying body in manufacturing, announced today that it has developed and will offer the Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals (RMF) credential.

The new certification, focused on assessing a candidate’s comprehension of fundamental robotics concepts, may be used by those currently looking to upskill or reskill into manufacturing careers before pursuing equipment-specific or career pathway-specific training in robotics.

SME and CESMII partner to accelerate smart manufacturing adoption

SME, a non-profit professional association dedicated to advancing manufacturing, and CESMII – The Smart Manufacturing Institute, are partnering to drive smart manufacturing further and faster by aligning their resources and educating the industry, helping companies boost productivity, build a strong talent pipeline, and reduce manufacturers’ carbon footprint.
