Reko wins major automotive contract

Reko International Group Inc. has received  a letter of intent from a major global tier 1 automotive customer to design and build a variety of advanced automated assembly equipment.

This major business award involves the design and manufacture of complex automated systems that will build exterior trim assemblies for a major automotive program.

Design work will commence immediately, and the fabrication of the equipment will take place over the remainder of the 2018 calendar year.

“This longstanding customer partner of ours has challenged Reko with this new business, and we are more than ready to deliver,” says Diane Reko, CEO of Reko International.

“Not only has our technical expertise and experience with innovative automation solutions been key in securing this award, the fact that we have a brand-new facility dedicated to our automation division means we can deliver projects of this scale more and more in the future.”

Reko now operates three facilities in Lakeshore, Ontario, Canada, one dedicated to precision machining and metal fabrication, one providing tool and mould solutions, and the third already mentioned that is dedicated to innovative automation projects.
