ECARX launches new autonomous driving ADAS platform for global car manufacturers

ECARX, a provider of mobility technology, has launched a new series of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) enabled products, starting with the ECARX Skyland Pro. It will support drivers as the autonomy of their vehicles increases.

Delivery of the ECARX ADAS platform has already taken place, with the beginning of mass production marking a significant milestone for the company. Owing to its dual system-on-chip (SoC) architecture, ECARX Skyland Pro delivers exceptional performance, and is supported by a sophisticated safety system.

Deploying two Black Sesame Huashan-2 A1000 automotive-grade SoCs to deliver comprehensive computing power of 116 tera operations per second (TOPS) at 8-bit integer (INT8), the high-performance ECARX Skyland Pro enables L2+ advanced driving and parking. AMD partners with eCarX to develop advanced car technologies

AMD has agreed a strategic collaboration with eCarX, a mobility technology startup. The companies will work together on an in-vehicle computing platform for next-generation electric vehicles, expected to be in mass production for global rollout in late 2023.

The eCarX digital cockpit will be the first in-vehicle platform to be offered with AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 processors and AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series GPUs along with eCarX hardware and software.

Combining the extensive experience in automotive digital cockpit design of eCarX with AMD advanced computing power and stunning visual graphic rendering capabilities, the companies aim to deliver an innovative in-car experience. Visteon partners with ECARX and Qualcomm to develop ‘intelligent cockpits’ for automotive industry

Visteon, ECARX and Qualcomm Technologies have launched a joint initiative to develop intelligent cockpit solutions across conventional and electric vehicle applications. 

Visteon and ECARX, using Qualcomm Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platforms, are working together to develop these intelligent technologies and sharing research to commercialize an integrated cockpit project for a variety of vehicle platforms starting in 2021.

Sachin Lawande, president and CEO of Visteon, described digital content as “the battleground” for OEMs as human interfaces becomes more complex and connected technologies are increasingly important to improve the cockpit.
