ABB and BurgerBots unveil robotic system for making burgers

ABB Robotics is serving up the future of fast food with BurgerBots – a groundbreaking new restaurant concept launched in Los Gatos, California.

Designed to deliver perfectly cooked, made-to-order burgers every time, the automated kitchen uses ABB’s IRB 360 FlexPicker and YuMi collaborative robot to assemble meals with precision and speed, while accurately monitoring stock levels and freeing staff to focus on customer experience.

Superior Communications installs 37 Brightpick robots at Tennessee facility

Brightpick, a provider of warehouse automation solutions for order fulfillment, has installed 37 Autopicker multi-purpose robots at Superior Communications, a North American distributor of mobile accessories, to automate their distribution center in LaVergne, Tennessee.

The fleet of Autopicker robots will handle all aspects of the fulfillment process, from picking and buffering orders of screen protectors, phone cases, accessories, and telecommunication equipment, to consolidating and dispatching shipments to retail stores.

Fanuc unveils first ever explosion-proof collaborative paint robot

Fanuc has launched “the world’s first ever” explosion-proof, ATEX-rated collaborative robot for industrial painting applications.

Ideal for wet spraying, dry powder coating and multiple other processes that include adhesive dispensing, the CRX-10iA/L Paint will improve the precision of paint jobs, reduce waste, increase productivity and boost safety by protecting workers from paint fumes.

Approved for use in ATEX-certified Cat. II Group 2G and 2D, the CRX-10iA/L Paint also enables human employees to work in the same painting area as the cobot without safety fences, thanks to a highly sensitive contact-stopping function. SeaTrac equips unmanned vessel with mammal monitoring technology

A landmark project supported by the Innovative Solutions Canada (ISC) “Real-Time Marine Mammal Monitoring Service via Uncrewed Surface Vehicle” program has successfully demonstrated a novel and effective method for real-time marine mammal monitoring.

In a collaborative effort, JASCO Applied Sciences and SeaTrac Systems deployed an advanced Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) system aboard SeaTrac’s SP-48 Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV).

Equipped with JASCO’s acoustic technology, a collapsible directional array and heave-compensating winch, the system successfully detected several endangered North Atlantic Right Whales during trials conducted off the coasts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Taiwan to promote 15 ‘advanced technology brands’ at Automate 2025

Taiwan Excellence, a government-backed industrial trade organization, is planning to introduce 15 leading Taiwanese brands at Automate 2025, the largest automation exhibition in North America, scheduled from May 12-15 at Huntington Place in Detroit.

Taiwan Excellence is an annual award program for innovative Taiwanese products. Incorporating the theme of “Advancing Robotics with Taiwanese Precision”, the Taiwan Excellence exhibit in Hall B, Booth 2646, will showcase the latest product innovations in robots and AloT solutions to provide a competitive edge and to shape the future of robotics technology.

Epson unveils new SCARA robot range

Epson Robots has expanded its SCARA lineup with the new GX-C Series, powered by the RC800A controller featuring SafeSense technology.
