Parts Town expands to include more than 120 distribution partners

February 7, 2019 by Sam Francis

Parts Town, a restaurant and foodservice equipment parts distributor which claims to have “the most in-stock original equipment manufacturer parts on the planet”, says it has added a total of 24 brands to its roster of master distribution programs this year alone along with 35 percent organic growth for 2018.

Parts Town, which recently installed a highly automated storage and retrieval system in its facility (main picture), supplied by warehouse automation company AutoStore, says “innovation and company culture are at the core” of its year-over-year performance.

The company says its year-end milestones include:

  • the creation of the Serial Number Lookup technology;
  • hiring of its 500th employee; and
  • the addition of PartsXpress and 3Wire to the PT Holdings family.

The company says partstown.com is now the most utilized website for researching and buying foodservice equipment replacement parts in the world.

The company also saw the number of its master distribution partnerships, an industry offering Parts Town pioneered 13 years ago, expand to over 120, including major expansion within several of the industry’s largest manufacturing groups.

Parts Town says it has retained 100 percent of its master manufacturer partnerships over the last 13 years.

This continued company momentum speaks to significant market opportunity and increased global demand for innovative and efficient technologies in the foodservice equipment parts distribution process, of which Parts Town provides.

New partnerships in 2018 include:

  • Anets;
  • Blodgett;
  • Bloomfield;
  • Cadco;
  • Carpigiani;
  • Cleveland;
  • Convotherm;
  • Delfield;
  • EmberGlo;
  • Frymaster;
  • Garland;
  • Gaylord;
  • Kolpak;
  • Lincoln;
  • MagiKitch’n;
  • Market Forge;
  • Marsal;
  • Merco;
  • Merrychef;
  • Ovention;
  • Pitco;
  • Perfect Fry; and
  • Stoelting brands.

Key partnerships launched in the fourth quarter 2018 include those with: Concordia Beverage Systems, a division of Middleby specializing in bean-to-cup espresso machines; Federal Industries, a Standex Company with a diverse range of fresh foods merchandising display cases; and Nemco Food Equipment, specializing in countertop food equipment solutions.

Dan Hinchley, director of manufacturer relations, says: “Our manufacturer partnerships contributed in a big way to our overall success in 2018.

“The way Parts Town approaches its manufacturer relationships will always be from a ‘what can we do for you’ mentality, which results in a genuinely positive experience from day one.

“Parts Town is strategic about how new technologies – including our first-of-its-kind Serial Number Lookup – are used to improve efficiency for our manufacturers and strengthen the customer experience.”

Master distribution partners receive significant benefits including increased OEM parts sales, simplified operations, sales insights and marketing support. Customers are also offered master distribution programs.

Parts Town’s programs with manufacturers ensure that they can provide customers with even faster access to OEM foodservice parts, custom preventative maintenance and troubleshooting content, enhanced technical support, innovative parts ID capabilities, and exclusive benefits to the manufacturers authorized service agents.
