Framos presents logistics automation solutions at Logimat
Image processing is one of the key technologies in automation and digitization. With the focus on dimensioning, classification and sorting intelligence, imaging specialist Framos will exhibit its range of logistics technologies and products at Logimat trade fair this March in Stuttgart, Germany.
Framos will showcase a new generation of cognitive systems powered by Intel®’s RealSense™ Technology, which adds human like sensing and intelligence to devices and machines.
The technology enables a complete new generation of logistics applications in the growing fields of drones, robots, virtual and augmented reality, mobile products and other segments.
The Framos volume light grid (VLG) will take center stage on the Framos booth. The plug & play product will demonstrate at first-hand how any goods can be reliably measured and tested for dimensions, positioning, volume and weight or codes directly in the conveying process.
When it comes to master data acquisition, fully automatic picking, completeness or surplus stock checks, as well as cargo handling, the Framos VLG is easy to use and can be integrated seamlessly into ERP, PLC and other logistics systems for further processing, says the company.
Framos logistics systems have a wide spectrum of possible applications which range from reducing freight costs for e-commerce retailers, to ensuring the machine compatibility of parcels for packages in automated warehouse systems.
It leads to simplified processes for end customers in industry, effective system utilisation with reduced downtimes and optimised cost and resource efficiency. OEMs and system integrators benefit from the outsourced development and the added value for their customers.
Framos will exhibit in hall 3 / booth A08 at the LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart from 13th to 15th March.
