Autonomous warehouse robots maker IAM Robotics is partnering with Xproma, a developer of parcel robotic machinery.
Despite negativity in connection with the Covid-19 virus, says Xproma, there are also positive things to announce to start the year.
Xproma says it is pleased about the partnership with IAM Robotics from Pittsburgh, PA, USA, home to renowned robotics university, Carnegie Mellon University.
With this partnership, Xproma says it is taking the next step in warehouse automation by using “the most innovative autonomous robot solutions”.
Autonomous mobile robots can be configured with a variety of functions to automate intralogistic processes for Xproma’s customers, says the company.
With these functional expansions, a multitude of possible robot-supported automation solutions arises, including autonomous mobile manipulation robots.
Like a human order picker, autonomous mobile manipulation robots move through warehouse aisles, find the right products, and put items in a transport box or shipping carton to be transported to the shipping area.
