Parrot and Hoverseen offer drone surveillance and inspection solutions

July 10, 2020 by David Edwards

Drone manufacturer Parrot has agreed a partnership with Hoverseen, an automatic drone solutions provider.

Through this partnership, enterprises can now use Parrot ANAFI drones as an automated, “drone-in-a-box” surveillance solution capable of dispatching and charging itself from a lightweight docking and recharging station.

Parrot’s ANAFI, ANAFI Thermal and new ANAFI USA drones offer an ultra-compact tool to gain new aerial vantage points for security and inspection professionals.

In addition to its built-in 4K HDR camera, ANAFI Thermal and ANAFI USA integrate a FLIR thermal sensor – allowing users to easily capture thermal and visual readings for higher precision and efficiency.

Hoverseen’s software and charging stations now work in unison to morph Parrot ANAFI drones into an effective, automated and secure flying Internet Protocol camera for enterprises, capable of easily integrating into any business’s existing security system and networks – for example, VMS.

Any professional system requiring livestream video or thermal metadata can take advantage of Hoverseen’s solution.

Moreover, pictures and recorded 4K video footage from the drone can automatically download for later offline analysis into the organisation’s database upon landing in the docking station as the drone simultaneously recharges.

With Hoverseen’s solution, ANAFI drones follow pre-programmed, automated flight plans and do not require specialised pilots to operate.

Instead, Hoverseen provides simple and tailored training to existing staff to help take every organisation’s security to the next level.

The interface offers complete real-time monitoring of missions and flight conditions.
Drones can be dispatched automatically in response to an alarm signal, or according to a routine schedule.

Jerome Bouvard, Parrot director of strategic partnership, says: “Parrot is working to drive the next evolution of organisational security with our ANAFI drones by partnering with industry leaders like Hoverseen.

“Our latest partnership is sure to deliver a cost-effective, unique and secure surveillance and inspection solution to organisations in every industry.”

Eric Villiers, Hoverseen founding president, says: “As an automatic drone-in-a-box solution provider we were looking for a lightweight cost-effective drone, integrating the best technology available.

“We are proud to be working with Parrot to pair our Smart Aerial Scanning solution with the ANAFI, ANAFI Thermal and new ANAFI USA drones to deliver a simple and secure solution to our customers.”

Through its SDK Partner program, Parrot is working to create a global ecosystem of drone software providers to serve the unique and ever-evolving needs of its enterprise and professional users.
