August 16, 2023 by Mark Allinson Leave a Comment

Looking for an exciting, efficient, and affordable mode of city transportation that offers convenience and joy?

The folding functionality makes them an ideal choice for urban living, as they can be effortlessly folded for storage or carrying purposes.

Furthermore, the added wheel enhances stability, providing a smooth and comfortable ride.

Folding electric trikes are more fun and convenient for everyone. They are also environmentally friendly, as they don’t rely on gasoline or other forms of energy which makes them an excellent choice for those looking to reduce their carbon footprint.

They are also economical, as there is no gas expense or high maintenance required. So, with the fusion of enhanced stability, convenience, and budget-friendly pricing, folding electric trikes stand tall as the optimal choice for urban commuters.

If the above mentioned features do attract you, there are models for all budgets and uses at Addmotor. So, whether you’re looking for a simple, lightweight trike for short trips or a more powerful model for longer rides, there’s something for everyone.

But in this article, we are focusing on the latest introduction to the Addmotor’s portfolio of electric trikes, the CITYTRI E-310. In terms of folding electric trikes, the CITYTRI E-310 is said to be the best electric trike under $2000. So. let’s find out more about this innovative e-trike.

Introducing the Addmotor CITYTRI E-310

The Addmotor CITYTRI E-310 is a cutting-edge folding electric trike designed to provide users with a convenient and thrilling riding experience.

As the name indicates, the E-310 is ideal for city riders and boasts a stunning blend of functionality, style, and affordability. The e-trike is available in 5 pleasing colors including Candy Red, Yellow, Army Green, Silver Gray, and Neptune Blue.

With its intuitive folding design frame the trike can be easily folded and stored in compact spaces, making it an ideal choice for city dwellers with storage issues.

For a wide range of commuting options, you can fold this trike and store it in your car trunk or carry it on public transportation. The CITYTRI E-310 is designed for urban riders and from extended battery range to practical cargo capacity, the folding electric trike won’t let you down.

Motor Power & Performance

A 750-watt rear-mounted hub motor powers the CITYTRI E-310 to provide swift acceleration and steady cruising speed. No matter where you’re heading, the powerful motor ensures a smooth and reliable ride on all types of terrain.

With the motor’s speed sensor, the motor provides effortless assistance without delay. Along with pedal assist, there is an option for throttle mode through which you can cruise through paved streets without pedaling.

There are 7 pedal assist levels which allow you to determine the level of assistance you need from the motor. On rough terrains, you can opt for a higher assist level in order to avoid getting tired.

Additionally, the CITYTRI also comes with a speed differential that further improves its performance by enhancing acceleration and handling while taking corners.

Long-lasting UL-Certified Battery

To provide extended range and enough energy to power the motor, the CITYTRI E-310 electric trike relies on the high-capacity 48V*20Ah Samsung battery pack. With this battery, the folding electric trike can travel up to 90+ miles on a single charge in PAS1 mode.

So, you can commute without worrying about power outages. You may experience a different range depending on how much cargo you have, the type of terrain, and what pedal assist you’re riding on.

Furthermore, the battery pack used on the CITYTRI E-310 is also UL-certified which enhances the electric trike’s safety and reliability. The UL-certified battery packs are tested under vigorous conditions to ensure battery safety is safe and reliable for use.

It also has a long lifespan and can last up to four years or more with 1000-1500 charge cycles, making it an ideal choice for daily commuters. (But this doesn’t mean that the life span is only a few years, instead, after reaching a certain number of cycles of charging, the battery will not perform as well as before.)

Three-Wheel Stability and Folding

One of the standout features of this electric trike is its folding mechanism that sets it apart from other electric trikes. With the easy-fold design, the trike’s portability and functionality is enhanced to provide a more convenient and practical option for riders.

Furthermore, as it is a three-wheel electric trike, its stability is unmatched. The two rear wheels offer excellent stability and balance, allowing riders to confidently tackle sharp turns and corners.

Moreover, the trike’s unique design of a low center of gravity ensures enhanced traction and grip, making it a safe option for riders of all skill levels.

Comfort and Ergonomics

The Addmotor electric trikes are engineered with rider comfort in mind and the CITYTRI E-310 is no exception. It features a wide, cushioned saddle with backrest to ensure a comfortable ride even on extended journeys. The handlebars are designed at an ergonomic angle, reducing strain on the rider’s wrists and shoulders.

Additionally, the seat and handlebars are also adjustable to cater for riders of varying heights. The trike also comes with a front suspension fork with 80mm of travel which allows it to absorb shocks and bumps so the rider can enjoy a smoother ride.

It has a 7-speed drivetrain with Shimano shifting components, which offer a wide range of gears for both uphill and downhill riding.

Safety Features

Safety is paramount, and Addmotor understood the assignment completely. The CITYTRI E-310 is equipped with essential safety features such as Parking brakes, Triple Disc Brake, and EB 2.0 lighting system. The parking brakes allow you to park the E-310 even on inclined surfaces easily.

The Tektro Mechanical disc brakes are reliable and provide effective and responsive stopping power to give the rider peace of mind.

While the EB 2.0 lighting system has front and taillight, turning signals, hazard light, and flash light to ensure optimal visibility during night rides. The light system can be easily controlled using the integrated buttons on the handlebar.

Built to last

Let’s dive into the E-310’s remarkable frame, designed for durability and aesthetics. Crafted with the finest materials, the step-through frame is a seamless combination of all-alloy aluminum, ensuring the perfect balance of strength and precision.

The trail part, constructed from 7020 Alloy aluminum, guarantees robust hardness and impeccable precision. On the other hand, the head part boasts 6061 aluminum alloy, adding another layer of excellence to the frame’s construction. With this robust frame design, the CITYTRIKE-310 is a wise investment for the foreseeable future.

Bottom Line

In conclusion, the Addmotor CITYTRI E-310 stands out as the best electric trike under $2000 for those seeking an exhilarating, eco-friendly, and budget-conscious mode of transportation.

Its powerful motor, long-lasting battery, stability, comfort, safety features, and durability make it a top choice in the electric trike market.
