FTM Machinery Briquetting Machine Helps Wastes Green Recycling

July 20, 2023 by David Edwards Leave a Comment

As governments and the mining industry around the world emphasize environmental sustainability and the use of renewable energy, the advantages of briquetting presses continue to emerge.

Outlook of the global briquette market

Briquettes, which are compact blocks of compressed biomass or other materials, offer advantages such as higher energy efficiency, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and convenient storage and transportation.

The market for briquettes is influenced by factors like government policies promoting renewable energy, the availability of biomass resources, and the demand for eco-friendly fuel options.

Additionally, the growing emphasis on circular economy principles and the need for waste reduction and recycling are driving the demand for briquette blocks in various industries.

In recent years, the global briquette market has been witnessing significant growth due to the increasing demand for alternative energy sources, sustainable waste management practices, and the rising awareness of environmental concerns.

Types of briquetting machines

Following the wave of global green development, FTM Machinery, as a briquetting machine manufacturer, has launched the two most popular briquetting machines, dedicated to serving the green production of mines.

Charcoal briquetting machine

A charcoal briquetting machine is a type of briquette machine specifically designed for producing charcoal briquettes from carbonized biomass or charcoal powder. The machine compresses the raw material using a high-pressure mechanism, creating solid briquettes.

There are relatively abundant biomass resources in the world, with hundreds of millions of tons of crop straw every year, and nearly ten million cubic meters of forestry wood processing waste. The charcoal briquetting machine makes it possible to make full use of these discarded biomass resources.

Metal briquetting machine

The metal briquetting machine is used to directly compress metal waste such as aluminum, steel, copper, or iron and high-quality mineral powder into dense briquettes through high pressure. Metal briquettes have a high density and can be melted down easily for recycling or further processing.

Metal briquetting machines help reduce waste volumes, optimize storage and transportation, and improve the efficiency of metal recycling processes.

Application fields of briquetting machines

Charcoal briquetting machines find applications in various fields, including:

  • Household cooking: Charcoal briquettes are commonly used as a fuel source for cooking and grilling due to their long burn time and consistent heat.
  • Industrial heating: Charcoal briquettes are used in industries for heating applications, such as in furnaces, kilns, and boilers.
  • Power generation: In some regions, charcoal briquettes are used as a fuel source for power generation, especially in areas with limited access to electricity.
  • Agriculture: Charcoal briquettes can be used as a soil amendment or as a component in the production of agricultural fertilizers.

Metal briquetting machines find applications in industries such as:

  • Metalworking: Metal briquettes can be re-melted and reused in metalworking processes, such as machining, milling, and drilling, reducing the need for raw materials and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Foundries: Metal briquettes are used as a feedstock in foundries for melting and casting processes, reducing material waste and optimizing furnace efficiency.
  • Automotive sector: Metal briquettes find application in the automotive industry for recycling metal chips and shavings generated during manufacturing processes.
  • Recycling industry: Metal briquettes are valuable resources for the recycling industry. Metal briquettes facilitate the recycling process by reducing the volume of metal scraps, making storage, transportation, and handling more efficient.

FTM Machinery briquetting machines

Briquetting machines produced by FTM Machinery are popular and widely used in many countries around the world. Especially in the following countries:

  • United States: The U.S. has a strong emphasis on waste management and renewable energy, driving the demand for briquetting machines.
  • China: With its focus on environmental sustainability and renewable energy, China has seen rapid growth in the adoption of briquetting machines.
  • India: India has a large agricultural sector and abundant biomass resources, making it a major market for briquetting machines.
  • European countries: Several European countries, such as Germany, France, and the UK, have been actively promoting the use of biomass briquettes and metal recycling, contributing to the popularity of briquetting machines.

The popularity of briquetting machines is not limited to these countries alone. The adoption and use of briquetting machines are expanding worldwide as more countries recognize the environmental and economic benefits of this technology, such as South Africa, Kenya, and the Philippines.
