New Honda and Suzuki models use ThyssenKrupp carbon wheels

The German carbon wheels manufacturer, ThyssenKrupp Carbon Components, has expanded its portfolio by five models within the last two months.

In detail three Suzuki models of the street sector, namely the GSXS1000, GSX-S1000F and Katana as well as Honda’s new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and the SP version, can now be equipped with braided carbon wheels of the highest quality.

ThyssenKrupp Carbon Components’ patented braiding technology ensures not only stunning optics but also high damage tolerance. The carbon wheels for both Japanese manufacturers are available in Style 1 and – thanks to ABE, DOT E and JWL homologation – road-legal worldwide.

Expansion not only applies to the portfolio of models, but also to the sales channels and dealer network. As a result, the braided wheels made of high-quality carbon are available in almost all countries across the globe.

The North American aftermarket is served by import and distribution partner Bilstein of America. Additionally, Japanese and Chinese customers now have the possibility to purchase ThyssenKrupp’s carbon wheels through established dealers in their respective country.

According to Jens Werner, “We are very responsive to the new models being launched by the known manufacturers. After the release, our research and development team gathers the data and starts developing unique and braided carbon wheels.

“Additionally, we are observing feedback from customers and experts in order to meet the demand. The new Suzuki and Honda models do look stunning with our carbon wheels and are another step towards an even wider-ranging product portfolio.”
