The automotive robotics market is anticipated to reach over $14 billion by 2026 according to a new research published by Polaris Market Research.

In 2017, the articulated robots dominated the global automotive robotics market, in terms of revenue. Asia-Pacific is expected to be the leading contributor to the global automotive robotics market revenue in 2017.

There has been an increase in the demand of automotive robotics across the world owing to greater need for automation of manufacturing processes.  [Read more…] about Automotive robotics market to surpass $14 billion by 2026

STMicroelectronics releases ‘always-on’ inertial measurement unit

October 29, 2018 by David Edwards

stmicroelectronics factory

STMicroelectronics has launched what it describes as an “always-on” inertial measurement unit which “improves accuracy and optimizes system power”.

The LSM6DSO iNEMO Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from STMicroelectronics is an always-on 3D accelerometer and 3D gyroscope system-in-package that is, by itself, extremely power efficient and accurate.

At the same time, the IMU makes the entire embedded system around it more power efficient, too.  [Read more…] about STMicroelectronics releases ‘always-on’ inertial measurement unit

1 million visitors and counting

October 29, 2018 by Abdul Montaqim

RoboticsAndAutomationNews.com has received 1 million unique visitors since we started counting just over two years ago. That’s about half a million visitors a year.

Those are modest figures compared with big websites, but we’re very pleased because we started with no visitors at all a couple of years ago, and would like to thank our readers for helping us reach this milestone.

Our readership continues to grow at a very fast rate, and we hope more of you will decide to support us financially through paid subscriptions and advertising.

We’ve made it through another difficult financial year, and with your continuing support, look forward to struggling through 2019.

A lot of our readers appreciate our ongoing coverage of the global robotics and automation industry, as well as related sectors.

But we still need more of you to become paying subscribers and advertisers so we can continue to pay our journalists and staff, as well as perhaps growing next year.

We understand that if you stopped supporting us, we’d basically disappear.
