Autodesk to showcase automation features of its generative design software in India

Autodesk is preparing to demonstrate the automation features of its design software at an event in India, which includes “generative design” – where the software creates designs by itself.

The company says the fifth edition of its Autodesk University India will “showcase the future of making driven by automation and 3D design technology”.

The event is expected to be attended by 1,200+ professionals from architecture and construction, design and manufacturing, media and entertainment industries.

Autodesk’s flagship event, Autodesk University, India 2018 (AU India 2018), will take place in New Delhi on 11 September.

Autodesk University is a conference for those who design, create, and make the world.

The attendees will get the opportunity to explore the Future of Making and the role of 3D design technology in driving trends such as Industrialization of Construction, Industry 4.0, Automation and the Future of Work.

The focus for this year will be on using modern design tools, technologies and planning methodologies across sectors to do “More and Better, with Less” – less cost, time, resources and impact on the environment.

The event will showcase innovations based on machine-human collaboration, virtual reality, generative design, prefabrication, robotics and many more that will transform the way products, buildings and infrastructure are designed, made and used.

Pradeep Nair, managing director, Autodesk, India & SAARC, says: “Emerging trends and technologies like automation, robotics, generative design, AR/VR and connected BIM (Building Information Modelling) are redefining the way traditional industries operate.

“At Autodesk University, we aim to inspire and enable our customers, partners, and industry leaders by helping them experience these first-hand.

“It has been five years since we brought Autodesk University to India and the response each year has been fantastic.

“The entire ecosystem comes together and takes advantage of the opportunity to connect, explore and learn about the Future of Making.”
