Geek Plus expands global reach with Modex event appearance

Chinese company Geek Plus Robotics, a provider of mobile warehouse robots, is attending this year’s Modex event for the first time.

Modex is the supply chain industry trade show in the US, being held in Atlanta on April 9 to 12.

For Geek Plus, the appearance is part of the company’s global expansion plans, after having a new office in Hong Kong recently.

A spokesperson for Geek Plus said the Modex show is an important part of the company’s new marketing push.

“The main investors in our global operation are US companies,” explained the spokesperson. “We want to showcase our warehouse solutions to the US market at Modex.”

Geek Plus is also planning to attend CeMAT – the logistics trade show in Germany – later this month, having recently acquired the European Union’s CE Mark, which is a symbol printed on products to indicate that it has passed certain quality and safety standards.

The company also recently attended the Asia Warehousing Show, in Thailand, where it partners with Eureka Design.

Pankeat Rochakamton, general manager of Eureka, said: “We mainly introduced picking system this time.

“It’s one of the ‘goods-to-person’ systems that can apply to e-commerce, 3PL, new retailing and many other industries. Warehouse operation efficiency and order fulfilment accuracy can be highly improved by this solution.

“Dozens of customers have visited our booth during these two days and got impressed by the fast deployment and great flexibility of Geek Picking System. It’s a good sign that our cooperation with Geek+ will turn out to be a big success. ”

Geek Plus claims to have sold 3,000 units of its mobile warehouse robots, which would make it one of the leading companies in the sector.
