Start-up launches smart connected fashion mannequin

In 2018, French start-up Euveka is bringing to market its first version of a scalable and connected mannequin. Hailed as one of the most promising French start-ups, Euveka is developing a model that can recreate all female morphologies for use in the fashion industry.

In the coming years, Euveka wants to further develop the mannequin, adding fully robotized body parts such as legs, arms and feet, and adapt it to specific morphologies to address common challenges like pregnancy, weight gain and more.

After a first round of 1.1 million euros investment in 2015 and a second round of 2.4 million in 2017, the extremely innovative concept that emerged after seven years of research was recently awarded at CES 2018 in Las Vegas.

Founded in 2011 by Audrey-Laure Bergenthal (pictured), the start-up has created a ground-breaking new generation of scalable and connected mannequins to assist textile professionals in the prototyping and apparel design process without the need for a traditional fit model. Euveka’s patented technical solution is made in France and designed specifically for the needs of the fasion industry.

After studying law and art history, Audrey-Laure Bergenthal changed her focus to clothing design and manufacturing, and quickly realized that the process doesn’t take into account the human morphology evolution.

Based on this observation, Euveka’s CEO came up with the idea of a mannequin able to replicate the body changes, an impressive alternative to the cloth-covered wooden dummy used in workshops.

Euveka aims to become the industrial customization leader. This innovative, and 100 % made in France, technology consists on a customization at each stage of clothing manufacturing. Today the company is focused on high-end design houses with its leasing and buying buying options for its robotic mannequins.

Located in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes region since 2011, Euveka is the French leader in mass customization process for the garment industry.

Specialized in robotic technologies related to morphology and biomimicry, the company develops smart connected dummies and proprietary software to assist professionals of fashion, sport and medical sectors in prototyping and selling personalized clothes.
