Innomech, an advanced automation solution provider, has partnered with FCS Automation to provide an integrated approach of robotics and automation to medical device manufacturers.

Innomech is an automation solution provider company based in England, UK that renders fully validated solutions for manufacturing and inspection problems.

FCS Automation is specialises in product lifecycle control systems, helping clients across the globe with safety critical applications.

The companies say this partnership aims to assist manufacturers to “increase efficiency, feasibility, and reliability” in their production lines. It is also looking for helping companies to design products in compliance with new regulations and integrate new functions into it.

Innomech and FCS are planning to use each other’s expertise to create new business opportunities.

They have recently completed a large-scale project the US medical equipment manufacturing company. The project included transfer of a multi-stage automation system from US site to UK site.

Moreover, they updated and reconfigured this system at the same time to improve its efficiency. They replaced several aspects of hardware, renewed the safety system, and used reliable software based product tracking system. It enabled faster access to machine for routine checking and maintenance, improved manufacturing efficiency, and integrated a product bagging station.

Tim Mead, managing director of Innomech says: “FCS Automation has provided Innomech with specialist software development skills for several years but this latest project was the first time we have worked as partners from the first customer meetings through to final machine signoff.

“The 12 months’ project was so successful that we believe other medical device manufacturers could benefit from our combined experience of working in validated production environments, together with our skills and ability to find system-level improvements to help boost product quality and manufacturing efficiency.”

The partnership enabled the companies to use each other’s resources and devise new ways to increase machine’s operation efficiency. To simplify operation of machine, additional features were introduced to the user interface.

Moreover, an extensive code review determined the causes of system crashes and screen lock ups, which interrupted daily operation and reduces operational efficiency. Technological advancements enable them to assist medical devices manufacturers with new ways in designing automation devices to simplify process and improve efficiency of operations.

Analysts are studying the industry and have presented information and statistics in research reports.

Recently, Big Market Research has added a report titled, Global Medical Automation Industry 2015 Deep Market Research Report.

The study offers an in-depth analysis of applications, classifications, recent status, and industry chain structure. In addition, it assists businesses and investors by providing precise market data of manufacturing cost structure, capacity, production, and revenue analysis, and new project feasibility analysis.
