2018 will be the year of practical artificial intelligence adoption.
AI is all too often associated with “futuristic” applications like self-driving cars or robots.
As a consequence, many business leaders view AI as a risky, capital-intensive innovation where return on investment is not guaranteed. Continue reading If AI ruled the world: Yandex Data Factory boss’ predictions for 2018
A new company called Alchemy IoT says it has $4 million seed funding to “simplify the industrial internet of thing using artificial intelligence”.
The company says it addresses the high costs and complexities of AI-based IoT for small- to mid-sized industrial customers with “no-code” cloud-based application, which enables its customers to be up “and running in 48 hours”.
Alchemy IoT describes itself as “a provider of IoT asset intelligence for industrial applications”. Continue reading Alchemy IoT launches with $4 million funding to integrate AI into IIoT without need for coding
The Industrial Internet Consortium has launched what it calls the Smart Factory Machine Learning for Predictive Maintenance Testbed.
The testbed is led by two companies, Plethora IIoT, and Xilinx.
IIC says the testbed explores machine-learning techniques and evaluates algorithmic approaches for time-critical predictive maintenance. Continue reading Industrial Internet Consortium launches smart factory machine learning platform
