ATI Industrial Automation to hold technology fair in Michigan

ATI Industrial Automation will hold its Annual Technology Fair on August 10, 2017 at its Orion Township, Michigan facility.

The one-day educational event will focus on “Applications Advancing Automation”, providing attendees the opportunity to learn more about ATI’s products and hear from the industry-leading experts that use them every day.

After the tremendous success of Hannover Messe 2016, for which the United States was the official partner country, the profile of German and European industry has reached new heights.

Both the leaders of the US – President Barack Obama – and Germany – Chancellor Angela Merkel – were special guests at last year’s event, which was the most well-attended ever.

IoT Tech Expo Global 2017 lines up keynote speakers

The IoT Tech Expo Global conference has announced keynote speakers for the upcoming global event in London 2017. 

Taking place on January 23-24th at the Olympia venue, the event will feature keynote speakers from the likes of Shell, Rolls-Royce, SSE, Maersk, Thyssenkrupp, Sky, Nest, Ford, Heathrow Airport and more.

Japan planning to invest billions in service robots

Japan Robot Week 2016 was hailed “a great success” by the organisers, as the event finished. 

In 2015, the Japanese government announced “Japan’s Robot Strategy”, designating the subsequent five years as a term for dedicated focus on robotics innovation.

Leading up to 2020, the government pledged to invest approximately $1 billion in robotics-related projects, aiming to expand the service robot market to $14 billion – about 20 times today’s market value.  Continue reading Japan planning to invest billions in service robots

InnoTrans 2016 prepares for record number of exhibitors

This year’s InnoTrans event is set to be the biggest in its 11-year history, with record numbers of companies booked to showcase their transport solutions. 

InnoTrans claims it is the world’s leading international trade fair for transport technology, and this year almost 3,000 exhibitors are preparing their stalls for the 100,000 trade visitors the organisers are predicting will attend.

InnoTrans is a favourite with train companies, particularly as they look to upgrade their rail networks using automation  technology as did Norway, and because there is increasing interest in and talk of intelligent transport systems.

And this year the French are particularly enthusiastic about the event.

The US automotive manufacturing sector buys one in every two industrial robots, according to the International Federation of Robots. 

Therefore, being able to spot emerging the trends in the use of robots in the automotive industry is important to industrial robot manufacturers.
