Injection moulding company Romeo RIM awarded by Spartan Motors

Romeo RIM, a provider of custom reaction injection molding and composite solutions, has been named a Diamond Award winner by Spartan Motors, a company which specialises in chassis and vehicle design, manufacturing and assembly.

The Diamond Award is Spartan Motor’s highest award level, recognizing top-performing suppliers and key supply chain partners instrumental in helping the company continue to improve supplier quality.

Romeo RIM CEO and president Tim Howell accepted the award on behalf of Romeo RIM along with vice president of business development Matt Getty at at the Spartan Motors 15th Annual Supplier Conference held recently. 

It is the second year in a row that Romeo RIM has been named a Diamond Award winner.

Spartan Motors grants the Diamond Award at the recommendation of an audit performed by its supplier performance and review committee.

Spartan says it “continuously evaluates” its 1,000-plus suppliers to ensure adherence to the company’s ever-increasing quality requirements and their ability to achieve and uphold operational excellence.

Suppliers that consistently exceed the performance criteria have the opportunity to increase their business levels with Spartan.

Spartan Motors is a designer, engineer, manufacturer and marketer of a broad range of specialty vehicles, specialty chassis, vehicle bodies and parts for the fleet and delivery, recreational vehicle, emergency response, defense forces and contract assembly – light or medium duty truck – markets.

The company’s brand names include Spartan Motors, Spartan Specialty Vehicles, Spartan Emergency Response, Spartan Parts and Accessories, Smeal and its family of brands, including Ladder Tower and UST; and Utilimaster.

Spartan Motors employs approximately 2,300 associates, and operates facilities in Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota; Saltillo, Mexico; and Lima, Peru.

Spartan reported sales of $707 million in 2017.
