Kawasaki signs up AV Birch Automation to its integrator program

Robotics giant Kawasaki has signed up AV Birch Automation to its exclusive integration program as a preferred specialist.

The partnership, announced on August 12th, means that AV Birch Automation have access to the expertise, training and software tools of the Japanese manufacturer.

The comprehensive range of robots and machine loaders manufactured by Kawasaki already feature in some of AV Birch Automation client facilities and the new relationship creates an even tighter bond between end user and manufacturer.

Mike Parton who heads the AV Birch Automation division says: “This development comes after a recent visit by Kawasaki Robotics representatives to our new clean room where the electronics test and build takes place.

“It’s clear that they saw our plans for growing the automation part of the business and wanted to be a part of the success.

“We are one of only 12 UK companies to have been recognized by Kawasaki Robotics as capable of providing an automated system with the quality, performance and durability expected of the Kawasaki robot.”

With over 20 years adding value to organisations through building efficient, safe and flexible systems for manufacturers and assemblers, AV Birch already have a number of robot cells in place.

The automation division is an integral part of the AV Birch range which includes hydraulic presses, lifting and handling systems, access equipment, and timber engineering machines.

The automation division delivers everything in the automation project lifecycle, from analysis and design, software, programming, build and commission right through to maintenance and repair of robots.
